The project will provide technical support for the Vietnam Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, to develop policy on voluntary carbon labelling and prepare the private sector for carbon accounting and emission reduction under new international climate policy.

Carbon labeling involves measuring and displaying a product's total greenhouse gas emissions, providing consumers with clear environmental impact information. This practice helps businesses reduce their carbon footprint and builds trust with eco-conscious consumers.

The project will include knowledge and capacity-building for stakeholders to be able to implement plans which reduce climate change impacts.

This technical assistance project is managed by the Southeast Asia Energy Transition Partnership (ETP), a programme of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).
