ADB has awarded RCEE-NIRAS a contract to provide local experts to prepare the Market for Readiness Proposal (MRP) of the Partnership for Market Readiness (PMR) Project of Viet Nam under the guidance of the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) and Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) of Potential Market Based Instruments for Steel, Solid Waste Management and Power (EE) sectors

Based on the PMR working plan, the tasks of Vietnamese PMR Project include (i) developing a draft full MRP by March 2014 which is essentially the project proposal for the market based instrument to be adopted by Viet Nam to develop its own carbon market , and (ii) preparing and implementing the PMR project activities there after from September 2014 onwards.
