Deployment Workshop on “Developing the green growth action plan of Hanoi Capital by 2025, with orientation until 2030”
Under the framework of the program "Support for MACC analysis and Green Growth Action Plan (GGAP)" funded by UNDP and coordinated by the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the workshop on "Developing the green growth action plan of Hanoi capital by 2025, with orientation to 2030" was held at Hanoi Institute for Socio-Economic Development Studies on May 15th 2018.
Attending the workshop were Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Deputy Director of Department of Science, Education, Natural Resources and Environment, Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI); Mr. Jiri Dusik – International consultant from UNDP, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ha - National Consultant of the Center for Green Energy Research and Growth and the participants from relevant Departments.
Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh emphasized the importance of implementing the task for developing the Green Growth Action Plan of Hanoi Capital by 2025 with orientation to 2030 and affirmed this is the opportunities to approach the Green Project’s preferential loans. He also said although this is a difficult task and time constraint, but with the determination of the host and national/ international experts, he believed that the task would be well completed.
At the workshop, the representative of the relevant departments and the national and international experts also discussed and provided comments to deploy the task and the responsibilities of the stakeholders in developing and implementing the Green Growth plan of Hanoi as well as agreed on the implementation methodology and proposed concrete measures to reduce GHG and socio-economic development.
