NIRAS Vietnam got the contract for the Technical Service ”Assessment of Energy Saving Potential in the Pulp and Paper Industry in Vietnam”.

The assignment will involve a general survey and assessment of energy use (electricity and primary fuel) in the pulp and paper industry; followed by preliminary energy audit for a number of selected facilities that are representative of the industry; and based on the results of an energy efficiency benchmarking exercise, carry out an assessment of energy saving potential in the pulp and paper industry.

This contract is under framework of Clean Production and Energy Efficiency Project (CPEE), which is sponsored by the World Bank. The CPEE is being implemented by the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Office (EECO) under the Department of Science, Technology and Energy Efficiency in MOIT’s General Directorate of Energy.
