AEMAS Training of Trainers in Hanoi, Vietnam

The AEMAS Training of Trainers (TOT) will be held in Military Hotel, Hanoi from 19-21 April 2011. 20 trainers from Technical Universities, Departments of Industry and Trade, Energy Conservation Centers, Energy Service Companies and Certification Bodies will join a 3-day intensive training before accredited by AEMAS Certification Body.
RCEE, in coordination with the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Office (EECO) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, is currently implementing the Energy Management Gold Standard – AEMAS Project funded under the European Union (EU)-Switch Asia Programme through the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE).

The AEMAS Project is aimed to increase efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and consequently, reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions generated by the manufacturing and industrial sectors in the ASEAN and other international regions. It will also enhance the professional standing of Energy Managers (CEM) and business competitiveness of companies globally by implementing the Energy Management System (EMS).

In Vietnam, training and certification of Trainers, Auditors and Energy Managers will be conducted nationwide. Also, representatives from participating companies will be trained to implement the EMS for the companies to initially qualify for certification.

It is envisioned that after the project is finished, Vietnamese companies will continue to seek and implement AEMAS Energy Management Gold Standard with sustainability.
